I was recently given some very beautiful old music books. While I don’t have the complete set, I do have 17 of them in landscape format and one in portrait. Each cover has a unique design that’s just begging to be made into something; I feel they are too pretty to just have them sitting on a shelf, gathering dust. Since I was given them, I have tried to come up with something creative to do with them because they have, I hate to admit it, been sitting around collecting dust.
Just look at how pretty they are:
What I’ve come up with is to put them in picture frames and hang them in our lounge room above the piano. Something like this:

Or maybe I’ll make a couple for the girl’s rooms, something like this:

I’ll let you all know which option I decide on and how they turn out once they’re done.
I “googled” this particular music series and if you’re interested, you can read a little about the background of these books here.

I like the idea very much……definitley framing them is the way to go.
They create this kaleidoscopic effect, when one just keeps staring and can’t turn away.
hey Rachel – pleased to meet you…and thank you so much for adding my button to your sidebar! (looks quite smart and fits in nicely over here!)
Now – I’m liking the look of your blog – but where is the obligatory ‘about me’ bit? I’m feeling like I need to know something of you!

It’s funny you mention the “obligatory About Me bit”, I was just thinking today that I need to get my act together and write one.
Thanks for stopping by, I’ll get started on the about me ASAP!
